Band Biography

Gary

Playing the bass since he was 10 years old, Gary Kriss has played, recorded and toured from the age of 16. After sneaking into a KISS concert, the grenade pin had been pulled, and his course of history had been written.

Initiated into the Underground Punk scene with Blue Oyster Cult’s two time gold and one time platinum song writer, Helen Wheels, Gary played, wrote and toured with “The Helen Wheels Band” with the likes of The Ramones, Blondie, Dead Boys, Dictators and The Cramps hitting NYC’s CBGB’s, Max’s Kansas City, Beacon Theatre and The Palladium along the way.

Gary Kriss believes that a Rock Concert should be a HIGH ENERGY event, a LARGER than life show….a carnival – giving everything you’ve got, and then giving more - where the fans can escape their 9 to 5 … and be a PART of something REALLY BIG – IT’S A PARTY- and EVERYONE’S INVITED!

Gary spearheaded the formation of RECKLESS - ATCO / Atlantic recording artists. With his insatiable passion and dedication for his craft, RECKLESS was ultimately signed and managed by ATCO / Atlantic Senior VP, Phil Carson (AC / DC, Twisted Sister). Twisted Sisters JJ French and Mark “The Animal” Mendoza were hand picked to produce RECKLESS’ first international release, “No Frills”. After a photo shoot with the legendary Mark “Weissguy” Weiss for their debut release, RECKLESS was off to L.A. to film their first video for the single “Nitty Gritty”.

Touring to promote the release with acts like Twisted Sister, Great White, Queensryche, White Lion, and Ratt; Gary hit the stage hard, night after night, all night long -the road is his home - and his band – his family.

Gary Kriss’ music has also been featured in the only 2x Best Picture Award Winner Internationally in 2009; B Sci-Fi cult classic “Sphere Of The Lycanthrope”.

With roots and influences from AC / DC and Aerosmith to KISS and The Ramones, Gary’s solid back to basic approach to laying down the foundation, creates a thick, throbbing and pulsating groove - so big you could slide a freight train through it.

Gary throws down the gloves and grab the stage by the horns – bringing his brand of down and dirty kick ass raunch n roll across the globe, and to a neighborhood near you!
