Band Biography

Chris

Chris Petro, a New Rochelle native, has been playing music for 28 years. Most of his career has been spent playing in original bands. From 1998 till 2002 Chris was in a band called Heele that made some waves on the local scene.

After his time with Heele, Chris teamed up with some local Bronx rockers and formed the band Crashbox. Crashbox gained some interest from record labels and in 2006 signed a deal with and indie label and released their first

album.

During his time in Crashbox, Chris also played in a cover band with drummer Jay Reddy called On Medz. After one record and some touring, Crashbox came to an end in 2009. From 2009 to 2011, Chris did some producing and studio work until he finally took a break from the music world.

Then in 2015, with a desire to get back to his musical roots of 90's alternative music, Chris decided to start a cover band with guys that shared his passion for the same genre of music. And Flannel Junkies was born!
